Here’s what we’re working on at the moment…

Restore 6133

We’re working to restore RDC 6133s interior to its appearance in the early 1980s with dark woodgrain finishes, and to rectify water damage to the accessible washroom end of the car.

Edmundston HEP Project

E-series sleeper Edmundston needs updating to electric heat and head end power to be ready to run on the main line again.

Repaint the LRC

We’ve already got one of only two surviving LRC locomotives running. Now 6917 needs a professional coat of railway-grade paint and radiator repairs to be ready for the public to enjoy.

A few of our volunteers’ achievements and successes

Restore Edmundston

E-series sleeper Edmundston was purchased and moved back to Canada with funding fro Rapido trains and others in 2016, and repainted in VIA Rail Blue and Yellow.

Save 6133

Rapido Trains and other donors were able to save RDC 6133 from being scrapped in Moncton, and move it to Toronto in January 2016.

Save the LRC

The Toronto Railway Historical Association purchased one of the few surviving LRC locomotives from VIA Rail Canada in 2014, saving a unique piece of Canadian railway technology.
