Even with all the excitement of the future locomotive for the VHA, we still need to continue restoration work on our existing equipment. Chief Mechanical Officer Chris Fox was doing some under-floor work on our E-class sleeper Edmundston recently. He cut a new Z channel to size (above), then cut out the old rusted channel, and clamped the new piece in place (below). The next job is to weld the new piece in place, along with a new piece for the washroom wall.
